-Knowledge of the jazz language (in order to solo in the jazz idiom)

LESSONS AND WORKSHOPS
Teaching music is a path that Ioannis have been exploring for quite a long time. Either on one to one basis, online or in groups, the challenges and rewards of music education have been fascinating him since his early teaching years.
Ioannis has been a faculty member at various universities in Cyprus since 2009.
He has been organizing his own seminars on soloing, technique, and brushes, as well as giving drum seminars for other institutions as the Notre Dame University, the Jazz Futures Program (of the American Embassy in Cyprus), the University of Nicosia, the University of Macedonia in Greece, the Arte Music Academy, The Lynn College of music and Zen Studios and hosted at the parallel activities of many festivals to give masterclasses in Jazz Drumming. He is also teaching the music idiom in high schools since 2002.
